I am Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the State of Texas, and I believe more than anything that God wants us all to be healed from our past to better serve HIM & others. We all need someone that will listen, and need a safe place to learn without judgment. Please do not give up, there is hope.
I hold a MA in Pastoral Counseling from the Houston Graduate School of Theology, a BA in Behavioral Sciences from University of Houston-Clear Lake, and an AA in Law Enforcement from Alvin CC. I have been in private practice since 2001 and I served on the board of the THCCA for 5 years, Texas Counseling Association for the three years, a member of the American Counseling Association, National Association of Rural Mental Health, and I am currently an active member of the American Christian Counseling Association.
Being a family member that has lost a military serviceman to war, I feel that God has allowed me to come full circle, and give back by serving the men and women who sacrifice every day to give us our freedom.
I currently am a member of Give an Hour. GAH is dedicated to meeting the mental health needs of the troops and families affected by the post-9/11 conflicts in Iraq & Afghanistan. We provide counseling to individuals, couples and families, and children and adolescents at no cost.
I support Homecoming for Veterans, which is a National outreach program for veterans that offers 20 Neurofeedback sessions for veterans at no cost.
I worked as a participating contract therapist with Lone Survivor Foundation
that supports service members and their families affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and chronic pain. Their creed is “NEVER QUIT on those who NEVER QUIT on us!”
I worked with the team at Warriors Hearts in Bandera, Tx. The vision at Warriors Heart is to bring 1 million warriors home. This is realized through personalized care and in a healing environment for men and women who are members from organizations who protect and serve the citizens of the United States – Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Police and Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Paramedics, First Responders and Civilian Warriors
