How long & how many times a week is a typical session?
Sessions for individual, couples and family counseling are usually 45-60 minutes. Most clients are seen once a week in the beginning. The number of sessions depend on what your current needs are. Neurofeedback sessions need to be 1-2 times per week for at least 20 sessions for the brain to remember the pattern that it is being trained to.
How long will I be in counseling?
It is my experience that the client is the expert of themselves, not me. I need help from the client to understand them. God has given me the ability to learn Counseling skills that will help the clients be able to see themselves in a new light of awareness, & let the clients decide how to use this new set of skills.
How much are your fees & do you take insurance?
Your fee depends on the kinds of services you request. Clients pay at the end of each session.
Initial therapy fee is $125.00
Continuing sessions runs between $125.00
Couples & Marriage Counseling $125.00-150.00 per session (45-50 MINUTES) I DO NOT BILL INSURANCE FOR COUPLES SESSIONS, BUT WILL GIVE YOU SUPERBILL FOR YOU TO FILE.
Intensives (5-10 hours) 1-2 days at one time = $125.00-150.00 per session, Payment required to be paid before intensive.
Neurofeedback fees (not covered by insurance)
Brain Map $495.00-$600.00
Brain Training $125.00 per session or monthly lease of equipment plus supplies.
Personal checks for, credit & debit cards, and cash are accepted.
Insurance and Managed Care:
I am on several insurance company plans. Some of the insurance panels I am on are:
Aetna, Amerigroup, Ambetter, BCBS (PPO), Cigna, Humana Military, Medicaid, Oscar, Oxford, Superior Health, TriCare East, TriWest, TRICARE 4 Life, United Healthcare, VA Community Care & WEBTPA.

Do I need to take medications?
Only medical doctors are allowed to prescribe medications. It may be advisable to consult with a medical doctor or psychiatrist to determine whether medications are warranted.
